The 'Everyone-Loves-you' day
The month of January is so eccentric.The mark of a brand new year, the blossoming hope and the wishes on the star,leaving behind the baggage and starting it all new , New year, New acquaintances, New resolutions, New promises, well..New desire to keep the new promises , and a lot new to start a new year with!
I had yet another reason to be happy about !
My birthday!
The very word gets me excited.Well, who doesn't love their birthdays?
For all the shopping,For all the new dresses,For all the dressing ups,For all the 'waiting for the surprise and act surprised'..
Hell yeah, That will always be one hell of a day.
You might have been familiar with this kinda person who gets excited about the very concept of Birthday, goes crazy like a couple of months before , stays above the elation zone and makes everyone around go crazy with their jubilation.
now that u have portrayed,that person ,apparently is me!
What's not to love about a Birthday?
Birthday is a day when u look back at those years of ur best dreams , worse nightmares,lived moments,re-lived hours,cherished minutes, regretted seconds and mere passing clouds yet a few with a silver lining!
Even if you're not a big fan of turning back the pages of ur past.. u tend to do it on ur birthday!
And the best part isn't looking back..
The best part is when all u could see is the good memories and even if you tend to crumble down.. there always goes a phrase
"Come on dude! It's ur birthday! "
Probably the day when u have a laugh riot with ur best friends and sometimes,a few tears may play a peek-a-boo .
Birthdays are emotional.
Yes,indeed Emotional! Not everyday, you get to be with everyone who are close to our heart. With the persons who share a soft spot deep inside , with the ones who insults us on everyday basis and still cares from the Core and crust of the heart, with the sarcastic ones and with the lovey-dovey ones and with the ones who literally go through a lot of torture tolerating us.
When all the best people come together and sing a "Happy birthday" ,it's beyond phrasing !
Not to leave out, the parents being a lot sweeter and even the meanest of all the friends puts up a smile on their face and wish u!
Not just them, even ur Ex-es wishes u on ur birthdays (now,that's a cliched happening!) and the ones who want u to burn alive wishes u to be happy!
Yes, its just another year that adds to the 'How old are u? ' question.. but honestly, nothing can be more beautiful than having people to tell u that u ain't old.. and you're still young
And what's more beautiful?
Taking photographs.. not for the Facebook or whatsapp or the instagram or the flickr or the Twitter or the snapchat but to save it and look back after years together and smile at it saying "That was one good birthday! "
Your friends become sweet enough to call u beautiful / handsome..
Well, for someone who got used to the swear-addressing.. that definitely is a huge stuff..
You get to be treated like a queen with the crown or the tiara and sometimes,they go a step ahead and literally get u a tiara!
Not always we get exhausted out of mere smiling,and birthday is one such day. The happiness that drains you out of every negativity and sets ur heart on fire !
Apparently, for the love of the cake.. the taste of the icing and the name that glistens..

am just visualizing the best moments of each year and find how many things i have missed out..
ReplyDeleteIt has been 4 years since i stopped celebrating this day. I now feel why the hell did i do that, i dont think buying a new dress and treating with a party just for the joy of b'day is wrong. But, unfortunately i am accustomed to leading a normal life on this day.
